How It All Began

Entrepreneur Shakour Abu Ghazalah opened Saudi Arabia’s first pressure‑fried chicken restaurant on Old Airport Road in Jeddah back in 1974. The brand was officially registered as Albaik a decade later and quickly became a pilgrimage favorite during Hajj. Today, the red‑and‑white stores are a staple across the Gulf.
